বাংলাদেশ ট্যানার্স এসোসিয়েশন (বিটিএ) এবং লেদার সেক্টর বিজনেস প্রমোশন কাউন্সিল (এলএসবিপিসি), বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রণালয় এর যৌথ উদ্যোগে গত ১৩ ও ১৪ ডিসেম্বর, ২০২২, রোজ- মঙ্গল ও বুধবার, এসকর্ট ফুটওয়্যার বিডি লিমিটেড, ১/৪, ঝাউচর, কামরাঙ্গিরচর, ঢাকায় “স্বাস্থ্য ও নিরাপত্তা (অগ্নি নির্বাপণ ব্যবস্থা ও মহড়া)” শীর্ষক ২ দিন ব্যাপী কর্মশালা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।
“স্বাস্থ্য ও নিরাপত্তা (অগ্নি নির্বাপণ ব্যবস্থা ও মহড়া)” বিষয়ের উপর সমৃদ্ধ উপস্থাপনা করেন জনাব আব্দুস সহিদ, সিনিয়র স্টেশন অফিসার, ফায়ার সার্ভিস ও সিভিল ডিফেন্স অধিদপ্তর এবং জনাব মিজানুর রহমান, হেড অব এডমিন, বাংলাদেশ ট্যানার্স এসোসিয়েশন (বিটিএ)।
প্রশিক্ষণ কর্মশালায় আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন জনাব ইসরাত জাহান, নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা, লেদার সেক্টর বিজনেস প্রমোশন কাউন্সিল (এলএসবিপিসি), বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রাণালয়, জনাব লিটন চন্দ্র রায়, সহকারী নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা, লেদার সেক্টর বিজনেস প্রমোশন কাউন্সিল (এলএসবিপিসি), বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রাণালয় এবং বাংলাদেশ ট্যানার্স এসোসিয়েশন (বিটিএ) এর কর্মকর্তাবৃন্দ।
প্রশিক্ষণার্থী হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন এসকর্ট ফুটওয়্যারস বিডি লিমিটেড এর শ্রমিক, কর্মকর্তা ও কর্মচারীবৃন্দ।

The Asia Foundation Bangladesh organized a Lesson-learned and future program planning workshop to identify issues and opportunities in the leather tanning sector and to design a plan for future programming. The program was held at BRAC CDM, Rajendrapur in Gazipur on last 11 & 12 December, 2022.
On behalf of Bangladesh Tanners Association (BTA) General Secretary, Mr. Md. Shakawat Ullah, and Head of Projects & Program, Mr. Rehana Akter Ruma participated in the workshop.

8th International technology trade-show on Leather, Machinery, Components, Chemicals & Accessories LEATHERTECH-2022 held on 7-9 Dec. 2022 at Expo Zone, ICCB Dhaka.
Bangladesh Tanners Association (BTA) participated on the show as one of the proud partner of it.
Mr. Tipu Munshi, M.P. Hon’bl Minister, Ministry of Commerce Govt. of the People’s republic of Bangladesh was present as chief Guest at Opening Ceremony of the show.

Dr. Bärbel Kofler, Parliamentary State Secretary, BMZ, Germany along with other Member of Parliaments visited Tannery Industrial Estate Dhaka (TIED) on 29th of October 2022. On that day German Delegation team also visited CETP of TIED and Anjuman Trading Corporation Ltd. Later an open discussion meeting held at Bangladesh Tanners Association (BTA)’s conference room at TIED.

Bangladesh Tanners Association (BTA) in partnership with The Asia Foundation (TAF) has intended to initiate Amfori BSCI Gap assessment in 10 (Ten) tannery factories which are the members of the Bangladesh Tanners Association (BTA).
In this context, BTA & TAF jointly organized a daylong orientation program for midlevel management from tanneries on Amfori BSCI Gap assessment at BTA hall room on 04 October 2022.
Mr. Mizanur Rahman, Vice Chairman BTA, Mr. Nurul Islam, CEO BTA, Mr. Rehana Akter Ruma, Head of Project & Programs BTA & Officials from The Asia Foundation (TAF) was present at the program.

EC4J প্রকল্প-বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রণালয় এর অর্থায়নে, এলএসবিপিসি ও বিটিএ’র যৌথ উদ্যোগে এবং ই-জোনের সার্বিক তত্তাবধানে “5S এবং হাউজকিপিং বিষয়ে” দিনব্যাপি বেসিক ট্রেনিং গত ০৩ অক্টোবর, ২০২২ তারিখে চামড়া শিল্পনগরী সাভারে অবস্থিত বাংলাদেশ ট্যানার্স এসোসিয়েশন (বিটিএ) এর কনফারেন্স রুমে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।
বাংলাদেশ ট্যানার্স এসোসিয়েশন (বিটিএ) এর হেড অব প্রজেক্টস অ্যান্ড প্রোগ্রাম জনাব রেহানা আক্তার রুমা, জনাব কাজী মোহাম্মদ আনিসুর রহমান খাঁন, সহকারী নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা, লেদার সেক্টর বিজনেস প্রমোশন কাউন্সিল (এলএসবিপিসি)বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রাণালয় এবং ই-জোন এর কর্মকর্তাগণ ট্রেনিং-এ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
ট্রেনিং-এর সমাপনী সেশনে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বাংলাদেশ ট্যানার্স এসোসিয়েশন (বিটিএ) এর ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান জনাব মোঃ মিজানুর রহমান।
ট্রেনিং-এ ফেসিলিটেটর ছিলেন জনাব মোঃ মোজাম্মেল হোসাইন ফয়সাল, প্রশিক্ষণার্থী হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ট্যানারির সুপারভাইজার ও মিড-লেভেল কর্মকর্তাগণ ।

To formulate an action plan to incorporate the Tannery sector in Social Protection Program for unemployed and distressed worker, high officials of European Union delegation, Ministry of Labor and Department of Labor attended a meeting with Bangladesh Tanners Association (BTA) on 26 Sept. 2022 at BTA Office.
BTA Vice Chairman Mr. Mizanur Rahman, Chief Executive Officer Mr. Nurul Islam, Head of Projects and Program Mr. Rehana Akter Ruma and Mr. Abdullah Al Kowser, Executive Officer BTA were present in the meeting.
The core purpose of the project is to help the distressed worker who lost their job during covid-19 pandemic. Also, to digitization of worker data and Management system of tannery sector.
