Bangladesh Tanners Association (BTA) in partnership with The Asia Foundation (TAF) has intended to initiate ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS) assessment in 15 (Fifteen) tannery factories which are the members of the Bangladesh Tanners Association (BTA).
This initiative aims to improve occupational health and safety, eliminate hazards, and minimize OH&S risks (including system deficiencies), take advantage of OH&S opportunities, and address OH&S management nonconformities associated with its activities.
In this context, BTA and TAF jointly organized a kick-off meeting of ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS) assessment at SGS Bangladesh office on March 28, 2022.
Mr. Md. Shaheen Ahamed, Chairman, Bangladesh Tanners Association (BTA), was present at the program as chief guest.
Mr. Rehana Akter Ruma, Head of Project & Programs, BTA, Tannery Owners and representatives from different tanneries, representatives from The Asia Foundation & SGS were also present at the program.
