Bangladesh Tanners Association (BTA) in partnership with The Asia Foundation (TAF) has intended to initiate ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS) assessment in 15 (Fifteen) tannery factories which are the members of the Bangladesh Tanners Association (BTA).
This initiative aims to improve occupational health and safety, eliminate hazards, and minimize OH&S risks (including system deficiencies), take advantage of OH&S opportunities, and address OH&S management nonconformities associated with its activities.
In this context, BTA, TAF & SGS jointly organized three daylong orientation programs for midlevel management from tanneries on ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS) assessment at BTA hall room on 16, 18 April and 18 May 2022.
Mr. Nurul Islam, Executive Secretary, BTA & Mr. Rehana Akter Ruma, Head of Project & Programs, BTA , was present at the program.
Owners and midlevel management from different tanneries, representatives & officers from BTA, The Asia Foundation & SGS were also present at the program.
