Bangladesh Tanners Association (BTA), Bangladesh OSHE Foundation & Leather Development Forum (LDF) jointly organized A one-day capacity-building training on the DIFE-developed inspection checklist for the leather sector on 22 January, 2026 at TIED, Savar, Dhaka.
The objective of the training was to introduce and clarify the DIFE inspection checklist among factory owners and management-level representatives of tanneries. The training enhanced management capacity to conduct self-assessment, reduce non-compliance, and prepare corrective action plans in line with national regulations and international standards. Md. Naimul Aziz, Inspector, DIFE facilitated the training session.
Md. Shakawat Ullah, Senior Vice-Chairman, BTA, Md. Firoz Alam, Coordinator, LDF, Md. Alam Hossain, Director, Bangladesh OSHE Foundation and officials from BTA & OSHE Foundation were present at the program. Owners and management-level representatives from 20 tanneries attended as participants of the training program.
